- Welcome! I've always been curious – do DJs like to dance? It is impossible to stay away surrounded by hundreds of dancers.
- Hello! I can only answer for myself – I love dancing. I dance during the set, and when friends are playing, and at home, and in the studio. Music, rhythm and dance are different facets of one whole.
- In my world, they are inseparable.
- Dance music, like any other, gives a magical quality to its performer. We don't know the locksmiths who repaired hundreds of pipes, but for just one song we can admire singers all our lives. DJs are more difficult: they often remain unknown.
- DJ and musician are synonymous. This is a purely Russian feature when a DJ and a musician are separated.
- When the culture of dance music originated in America and Europe, DJs were musicians who wrote this very dance music. And they gave a concert at the turntables, including in the sets, in addition to their music, a similar one in spirit.
- If you see a DJ at the world club console, be prepared to hear his music first. Therefore, DJs in their full sense are always known.
- Their music is played on dance floors, listened to on the radio, and clips are watched.
- Do you have a favorite artist and a favorite song?
- Of course, there is a favorite artist and a favorite song. And in every style. Music is my world, and there are thousands of moods in it.
- It is impossible to choose one thing, and it is not necessary. There is a soundtrack for each individual case.
- Tell me, please, do DJs ever sleep? By the way, what kind of vacation do you prefer?
- Of course, they are asleep. DJs are creative people, and their interests belong to music. This is the only way they differ from other people.
- I like to sleep and dream. Very. My other vacation is Yoga. Three to four hours of practicing asanas and breathing are significantly energizing.
- After traveling all over the world, some people return to their native village or city, believing that they have found their happiness. What is your comfort space?
- My comfort space is on the ocean, away from noisy cities, alone with myself and my loved ones. And you don't need to look for happiness. It's in each of us.
- You just need to allow yourself to feel it. Things and fussy people are very distracting from this.
- Tell us the secret - how does a famous DJ manage not to go crazy from hundreds of beautiful girls - constant companions of discos? Moreover, the night increases desire many times. But their desires, no matter how much they drink, they still ask for something a drink.
- I had a long period of life when I was guided by desires. As a result, I didn't get enough of them. And it was lucky that Yoga appeared on the lifeway. It was she who helped to look at everything without hindrance, to see the true motives of her actions.
- Now there are much fewer desires, and they are much more worthy. I have a huge number of friends and my favorite girl is Nika. I like this arrangement.
- Since 2006, Dj Sasha Vibe has been on the top list of Russian DJs. I read that the label "Triori Records" has made a very important step in its development: congratulations! Really, really cool! Who makes up the top lists, and what is the measure of a DJ's success today?
- Thank you! The top lists are compiled by thematic magazines and Internet portals.
- Everyone has their own audience, which is asked the question "Who do you like?". Of course, they cannot reflect the whole reality.
- And the concept of "best" is obviously limited to those who choose. But it gives some kind of reflection of public opinion. This makes it easier to navigate who is interested in this whole topic.
- Everyone also has their own criteria for success. Someone needs their own private plane, someone needs thousands of eager fans. It's important to me that my music is listened to and played. I touch the world through creativity.
- Creative realization, supported by material comfort, is the measure of success for me.
- Tell me, please, do DJs report remixes to the authors of original compositions?
- The authors of the original compositions turn to DJs for dance versions. In my case, as in the case of most famous DJs, this is exactly what happens.
- Of course, if I had made a remix without anyone's knowledge, of course I would have tried to contact the original artist or band.
- Is "DJ" as a hobby or profession in Russia left to itself, or is there a certain hierarchy in relationships? Can I buy equipment, arrange a disco, and immediately become a leader?
- Once it seemed to me that this hierarchy existed. I don't see her now.
- There are separate hangouts, most often limited to styles, or an audience where there are more or less popular DJs and musicians. But, as practice shows, this alignment is constantly changing.
- Of course, anyone can purchase equipment, arrange a disco, and immediately become a leader if there are listeners who are interested in these very discos so that interest in the person conducting them becomes dominant in the entire culture.
- At the moment, Russia is catching up with the rest of the world, and interest in DJs increasingly lies within the framework of their own music, rather than sets in clubs.
- Clubs of uncertainty. What happened before has already become obsolete, and people in Russia are always afraid of the new.
